Zinc Nine Psychedelic
Composer/electric guitar guru “Dr. Nerve” himself, Nick Didkovsy, along with trumpeter/laptop specialist David Ballou, and trio leader/founder percussionist Kevin Norton, take the stage at The Cell to bring to life a new incarnation of their celebrated Zinc Nine Psychedelic trio.
Zinc Nine Psychedelic was formed to emphasize two aspects of 21st century music: free improvisation and a deeply developed sound-color palette.

For this concert Z9P will premier
Cortex, a suite based on a composition from their 2009 Punos Music release. In Cortex, Kevin Norton, a specialist in percussion color, performs on 69 newly invented customized instruments—opening up a river of new sounds when combined with electro-acoustic manipulation of the trumpet and electric guitar.
